A big thank you to our clients from South Birmingham College!
We would like to pass on our thanks to you from South Birmingham College who are the first college to receive our donation of old analogue electricity meters.
It is thanks to you we were able to introduce a new way of recycling old analogue electricity meters for a good and worthy cause.
By giving us permission to recycle your old meters, we are able to donate meters to our chosen electrical training centres and colleges for training purposes across the UK.
The Bordesley Green Construction Campus is the first UK college to benefit from our new recycling programme. It has given electrical apprentices the opportunity to put their training into practice on original analogue meters in conjunction with their Electrical Apprenticeships.
John Collins, Lecturer at South Birmingham Colleges, said: “We are really grateful to Data Power Limited and their clients. It is good to see a local specialist in the electrical design and installation field giving something back to the future talent training to work in the electrical sector.”
Can you recommend a training centre or college we can help?
It is also thanks to one of our close partners Contact Electrical Wholesale Ltd who introduced us to South Birmingham College.
Do you know a college or electrical training centre that we can help? If you do, we are happy to receive any recommendations. We will have a new batch of old meters to re-home via our recycling programme very soon.
Please email us with your chosen college and an appropriate contact name. We would be happy to help!
Let us introduce you to a smarter generation of electrical meters...
By replacing your old analogue meters in commercial properties, you could not only cut your carbon emissions and consumptions, you could also slash your energy bill and usage.
We are working with commercial businesses in a wide range of sectors to introduce and install smart meters in a bid to help our customers save money.
Smart meters utilise a two-way communication system, which allow consumption data to be transmitted to both the commercial owner and the energy supplier.
Here is what our managing director, Jon Richmond has to say; “It’s time for companies to start reducing their energy costs and get smart about energy.
“By installing smart meters, businesses can work towards meeting the Carbon Reduction Commitment set by the Environment Agency”.
